Chandu Champion is a Metaphor For Our Times
Ignore any bad reviews you may encounter and please watch the film instantly.
Muralikant Petkar will be 80 this year. Most of us don’t know the rollercoaster story of India’s first Paralympian. His village and his father dismissed the young boy’s dream. Schoolmates laughed and called him Chandu Champion (Loser Champion). Khan’s film is an ode to such losers who have the self-belief to dream big. “I want to fight for every Chandu who wants to be a champion,” the lead character, played by Kartik Aaryan, says in the film.
It could be a metaphor for our times and the perfect story to illustrate the 2024 General Election verdict. After all, aren’t we cheering for the victory of those seen as Chandu Champions?
Ignore any bad reviews you may encounter. Watch this extraordinary story of a loser who won big.
